I started off as an accountancy student in UST in my freshmen year. I never was interested in the said course for the major reasons why I was there, was for the opportunity that the would job provide and my parents really would want that for me(I'm not blaming this on them)and that pressures me. Even from the start I wasn't enjoying my stay and the challenges in my course not only proved to be difficult but stressful. Thought that I CAN do better in a different course that much suites me is killing me and provides distraction and it was so difficult to focus.Actually even within the college I was part of organizations, the my position in the said org was that I was always in the art department. I was comic artist in the college's journal, and a member of the Student Council's Creative Media Department. Even though frustrated in the college, I always kept a connection in the arts, but.. Eventually the difficulty and the pressure of the course took it's toll on me and i finally was given a chance to shift to my passion, the College of Fine Arts and Design(CFAD). Now i'm doing my best, and it's not that hard. Really, when you are inspired and you love what your doing you wont feel any stress at all, just enthusiasm and excitement. Being appreciated for what you do is a feeling incomparable to none. So I say this to all would be artist trapped in themselves, FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS and you will live a life worth saying that you lived it to the fullest™
